You can’t properly celebrate autumn without an apple orchard trip (oh, and nearby winery)!
Whether you’re in the mood for apple picking or for a glass of wine, hard cider, apple vodka, or beer, the Applewood Orchard and Winery is my new favorite fall spot
We spent the first few hours picking apples and tasted tons of different varieties!
Afterwards, we headed over to get drinks by the pond. The Winery offers tastings of three different beers – a double IPA, a sessions IPA, and a Stout. If you’re not big on beer, they offer small samples for a dollar each. We drank our beers with the roosters and hens that roamed around the farm, while listening to a live band sing Sweet Home Alabama.
Then, we stopped by the farm store and saw such delicious local foods including pies, jams and even hot sauces! Across from the farm store is the Winery. A five glass wine flight is $6 (extra $2 for the souvenir glass).
Overall, Applewood Orchard and Winery is a great place to spend an autumnal weekend.
