I’m currently sipping a perfectly prepared cup of coffee and munching on a local apple cinnamon donut; jealous? Don’t be just stop by Darien, CT! It’s a tiny town nestled between Stamford, New Canaan, and Norwalk. Darien is the quintessential New England town and one of my favorite things to do here is wander along the Boston Post Road (our equivalent of main street), which brings me to the perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday with my best gal pal – NEAT coffee.
NEAT is a cute little espresso shop right off the Boston Post Road. My best friend L and I stopped by on great summery Sunday, after taking a necessary study/work break at the Darien Library. The café is sizeable, with plenty of seating and seasoned baristas. L ordered a cappuccino, and I chose the flat white. We sat and planned our schedules for the rest of the day outside under the cute umbrella seating and enjoyed the water fountain as it trickled down and joined our conversation. As we spoke, it became apparent that we needed to plan a girl’s day in the City. Lucky for us, NEAT is right next to the Darien train station, which L and I decided was a definite sign; artisanal-crafted coffee before our train ride into Manhattan? Heck Yes.
